Linux Administrator (AWS)

cBEYONData is seeking a Linux Administrator with AWS knowledge (Top Secret clearance required) to join a data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) team supporting our federal client. This is a full-time position with on-site work performed at the client’s office located in Washington, DC or Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers in AWS to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using Git and Ansible Playbooks/roles.
• Conduct, prioritize and remediate security vulnerability findings for RHEL servers.
• Configure Splunk for centralized logging using Ansible.
• Manage and monitor AWS cloud-based infrastructure, security, and application environments.

Requirements:

• Active Top-Secret clearance required
• 100% on-site, in Washington, DC, or Chantilly, VA
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of scripting languages (YAML, Python, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (i.e., Gitlab runner, Git commands)
• Certification in AWS, Linux, or Security
• Good understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices
• Application and OS security hardening experience/understanding (i.e. DISA STIG Remediation)
