RPA and Machine Learning Developer
Location: Hybrid - Washington, D.C. Metro Area (Onsite and Remote Support)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Machine Learning Developer to join our dynamic team supporting the Department of the Navy (DoN). The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and deploying RPA bots and machine learning models to streamline and enhance Navy business processes, improve data-driven decision-making, and contribute to mission-critical initiatives.
This role combines cutting-edge technology with meaningful impact, working closely with stakeholders to automate complex workflows and apply AI/ML solutions to real-world Navy challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, deploy, and maintain RPA solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
•Design and implement machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, NLP, etc.) tailored to Navy datasets.
•Collaborate with process owners and Navy personnel to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
•Integrate RPA bots with existing Navy systems, databases, and APIs while ensuring compliance with DoN security standards.
•Preprocess and analyze large datasets, applying statistical and machine learning techniques to derive insights and optimize workflows.
•Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of automation solutions.
•Provide technical documentation, training materials, and end-user support as needed.
•Stay current with emerging RPA and AI/ML technologies and best practices, recommending innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
•3-5 years of professional experience in RPA development and machine learning.
•Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
•Strong knowledge of Python, R, or JavaScript for scripting and machine learning model development.
•Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
•Proficiency in working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and APIs.
•Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and version control systems like Git.
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (if not currently active).
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience supporting DoD or federal government clients.
•Familiarity with Navy-specific systems, policies, or data environments.
•Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and advanced analytics tools.
•Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53).
•UiPath Developer or similar RPA certification.
•AWS, Azure, or DoD Cloud experience.
