Position Description

This position will be with the Metrology Engineering team at Fleet Readiness Center East in Cherry Point, NC. This is a Civil Service position at the GS-12 level and will provide engineering support to the local overhaul facility as well as Fleet activities. This support includes but is not limited to:
  • Developing calibration procedures for new tools and test equipment
  • Working with aircraft component OEMs and local engineers to ensure all component testing accuracies/tolerances are achieved
  • Investigating Out of Tolerance (OOT) incidents for calibration standards
  • Analyzing complex calibration procedures to provide solutions to requests from Production and Fleet customers
  • Investigating new technologies to aid in modernization of existing Navy calibration standards
