Configuration Management Analyst

Salary: $50/hr.

Location: Peterson SFB, CO

Industry: Government/Defense

Employment Type: Short term contract

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Summary: Development, maintenance, and use of bespoke facility equipment tracking software. Lead software development and management and use the software to verify and update current configuration changes with the facility management program.

Qualifications:
  • BS degree
  • Must have experience with 3D modelling software
  • Familiar with application development, preferably using Visual Basic for Applications and .NET framework
  • Experience with database management, Air Force technical orders, technical drawings and configuration management highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team and independently
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Active TS/SCI

Responsibilities:
  • Configuration ManagementCapturing facility information and updating the information within the facility management program.
  • Assist in auditing ongoing projects, future projects, and installations in Denver and Colorado Springs locations on a quarterly basis.
  • Review hardware architecture changes and capture changes in the database.
  • Remove obsolete equipment from the facility management program, as equipment is upgraded or replaced.
  • Update Configuration Management ProgramBuild and edit models using Solid Edge 3-D modeling software
  • Assist in the development of software using Visual Basic programming language.
  • Establish/create a facility baseline, identify and update facility drawings within the facility management program to reflect new or upgraded hardware installations.
  • CM/ QAWork with the Configuration Management/Quality Assurance (CM/QA) engineer to assist in the monitoring and auditing of all ongoing projects and installs to ensure CM and QA measures are met
  • Multi-site CoordinationWork with geographically separated team members to maintain up-to-date files, databases and documentation.
  • Attend meetings (onsite and virtual) to stay abreast of changes and scheduling needs
  • Support and ComplianceEvaluate documentation and ongoing projects for compliance with standards
  • Review SF1067forms for active installations
  • Provide written documentation of findings following reviews of onsite reviews.
  • Support annual documentation updates through review cycle and comments.
