Responsibilities

  • Drives sedans, vans and pick-up trucks to accomplish the replacement of air filters.
  • Responsible for the scheduling and accomplishment of replacing air filters in wide variety of heating, refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment on Redstone Arsenal.
  • Schedules on a prescribed periodic basis, the replacement of air filters on all equipment as identified by management.
  • Accomplishes the replacement of air filters as scheduled. Acquires filters from supply warehouse and transports to various job sites by operating a light motor vehicle. Uses small hand tools for access to filter racks within air handling units. Ensures that proper size and type of filters are used as replacements.
  • Maintains records of all units that contain air filters, showing location, filter size, type, and dates of filter replacements.
  • Coordinates with supply personnel to ensure that an adequate supply of filters of all required sizes and types are maintained on hand to meet all replacement schedules.
  • Completes job related paperwork and forms. Keeps work and shop area clean. Performs all work in a safe manner in accordance with safety practices and procedures.
  • Straight truck, less than 1 ½ tons, usually 4 wheels.
  • Performs other related work as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must be able to read and write in order to read filter/equipment specifications, assist in the ordering of filters, and properly maintain required logs and work orders.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
