Country Intelligence Group is seeking Full-Time AV Technician III to support our client located in Tampa, Florida. The candidate will be responsible for specific taskings assigned by supervisor to maintain proficiency and develop technical aptitude.
This is a hybrid position meaning work will be completed both remotely and onsite. This position requires travel with short notice for support and repair type efforts, as well as travel to other locations for scheduled installation and/or maintenance actions.
The candidate is expected to learn both through direct observation and independent learning regarding assigned technology, and/or original equipment manufacturer equipment. Experience is required in system implementation, network node or element implementation, network fault isolation or repair, general knowledge in the field of information technology systems, subsystems, and equipment. The candidate will need the ability to perform as an installation and field technician on a variety of communications and information technology systems. The candidate must also be able to coordinate communication requirements via electronic or paper forms to initiate gateway access requirements.
Tasks Performed:
• Complete billable tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Read drawings; support installations based on drawings for cable and equipment
• Maintain inventory of equipment bag
• Provide support to installations/maintenance actions/support actions both over the phone and in person supporting manufactures like Crestron, BIAMP, Shure, AMX, Cisco, Planar
• Obtain and maintain the following certification, CTS, Security +, Network +, and other assigned AV certifications
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• Ability to travel to multiple locations within Tampa area (Tarpon Springs, Tampa, New Tampa) and outside local area as assigned by supervisor
• Ability to maintain security clearance (Minimum - Secret)
• Ability to learn new technologies and equipment as assigned
• Ability to check email and answer phone calls
• Access to a vehicle for local transportation
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to communicate issues and challenges
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating system and business tools
• Compete knowledge of English language
• Internet and phone access
• Vehicle to travel to local office meetings
• Terminate and install Cat 5e, 6, 7 and fiber optic cable
Other Job Requirements:
• Secret Security Clearance (Minimum)
• U.S. Citizenship, and successful background check
