The U.S. Air Force (USAF) and Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) has a requirement for operations and maintenance (O&M) of complex Threat Systems, support equipment, system spare parts, special tools, test equipment, and depot level documentation under the Alaskan Range Combat Training Integrated Comm and Support (ARCTICS) contract. The JPARC is able to field and operate systems to represent realistic Threat capabilities for Red Flag Alaska exercises based at Eielson Air Force Base located near Fairbanks, Alaska, and similar events with the USAF.

Overview:
The Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic provides maintenance, repair, and inspection support for U.S. Air Force Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) in support of the Alaska Range Combat Training Integrated Communications and Support (ARCTICS) contract. This position ensures mission readiness by maintaining a wide range of equipment used to support air and ground operations at the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC).

Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on U.S. Air Force Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). Primary focus will be generators and NGH heaters.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronics to identify and repair malfunctions.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with technical orders, Air Force instructions, and safety standards.
• Document maintenance actions in accordance with U.S. Air Force technical data, including updates to forms and maintenance data base.
• Replace, repair, and overhaul components, including engines, transmissions, pumps, and control systems, following manufacturer specifications and Air Force standards.
• Ensure all AGE equipment is safe, serviceable, and ready for use to support training operations.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace to enhance productivity and safety.
• Use and maintain tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments needed for AGE maintenance.
• Assist with the inventory and accountability of AGE assets, ensuring compliance with U.S. Air Force policies.
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) and technical training programs to maintain proficiency in AGE systems and updates.
• Provide technical expertise and support to ensure AGE operations meet mission requirements.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Travel to remote sites to provide on-site maintenance and support as required. May include travel to overseas locations in support of the Joint Deployable Electronic Warfare Range (JDEWR).
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in AGE systems is preferred.
• Must be US Citizen
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintaining U.S. Air Force Aerospace Ground Equipment or similar systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. Air Force AGE technical orders, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
• Strong understanding of Air Force maintenance documentation and reporting requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in extreme outdoor environments, and operate tools and equipment safely.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to travel by helicopter to remote locations.
• Willingness to travel overseas to JDEWR sites.

Preferred Skills:
• Prior experience supporting ARCTICS or other military contracts.
• Certification in hazardous materials handling and environmental compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to support mission-critical operations.
• Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, etc.

The Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic is a vital role in maintaining and supporting the readiness of critical ground support equipment for the Alaska Range. This position ensures the operational success of Air Force training and mission requirements under the ARCTICS contract.
