Job Description
Mission Technologies is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Team as a Technical Support Specialist. This role involves developing and implementing installation plans for Naval Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) networking equipment aboard Navy ships, enabling participation in Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) and Ballistic Missile Defense Exercises (BMDEX). The Technical Support Specialist will install, troubleshoot, and configure various shipboard systems, networking equipment, and cryptographic software while providing technical assistance as needed.

Job Description

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop installation plans for NCTE networking equipment, including CISCO Layer 3 switches, VoIP phones, TDACS, and various Pack-Up Kits (PEKs).
- Perform installation and troubleshooting of CAT 5 Ethernet and fiber optic cabling, servers, workstations, and related systems.
- Configure, load, and update cryptographic software for KG-175D (Tactical Local Area Network Encryption) systems.
- Provide technical support for shipboard systems, including:
- Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT)
- Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT)
- AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS)
- AEGIS Weapons System (AWS)
- SQQ-89 Sonar Training Onboard Trainer (OBT)
- AN/SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare Console
- Advanced Combat Direction System (ACDS)
- Ship Self Defense System (SSDS)
- Analyze and provide recommendations on issues related to military command, control, communications, electronic warfare, and weapons systems.
- Coordinate with user representatives throughout development to define requirements and alternatives.
- Assess training exercises, operational user training, and military maneuvers to maintain force readiness and capabilities.
- Apply emerging doctrine and tactics from AWEs, ATDs, and Force XXI initiatives to system design and development.
- Prepare reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investment needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 0 years of experience, OR High School Diploma/equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience.
- 3 years of experience operating the Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) system.
- Working knowledge of shipboard systems, including ACTS, SSDS, BEWT, SQQ-89 OBT, IFF, and NAVSIM.
- Active US Secret security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
