Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing Sector has an exciting opportunity for a Material Control Manager to support our Hypersonics Integration Facility located in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must possess a very strong work ethic, impeccable attention to detail, multitasking ability, and provide effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and adherence to standardized work processes. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a material control team in successfully moving, handling, documenting, and assigning of material assets to ensure the timely receipt and delivery of material to support production.
- Ensure the timely and accurate transactional updates in Costpoint and controlling variances in the inventory system of record, etc.
- Ensures that CostPoint applications are accurately maintained.
- Maintain cycle count program with actions to meet target inventory accuracy.
- Optimize Vertical Storage Module for efficient loading and picking of parts.
- Responsibilities will include the oversite, hiring, mentoring, and managing the performance of the Material Control Team.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and creating efficiencies to the logistics processes as ongoing continual service improvements per AS9100 standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR a proven record in a Logistics Manager/Lead position leading staff and direct responsibility of logistics operations with equivalent combination of education and years of experience in the industry to acquire the knowledge to manage a fast-paced logistical operation with impeccable precision.
- CostPoint experience is a preferred, or equivalent Asset Management application competency at expert level.
- Highly demonstrated ability to prioritize work requirements.
- Highly demonstrated ability to work independently, delegate tasks to leads, and lead high performing teams.
- Highly demonstrated ability to build, maintain, encourage, and motivate a team.
- Leadership experience with direct reports.
- Ability to work efficiently with accuracy and meet demanding timelines is a must for successfully executing the requirements for this position.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 40lbs.
- Must be a US Citizen and must possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Logistics or Supply Chain Operations or related field.
- Industry related experience and/or certification.
