Wargaming Facilitator

The DCS Air & Space Technology (AST) Sector is seeking a Wargaming Facilitator to support HQ USAF at Joint Base Andrews or the national capital region. Our team is developing a title 10 wargame in support of HQ USAF/A5/7 to better refine TTPs, CONOPS and CONEMPS. Become part of a team to design and develop regular wargames to answer USAF A5 important analytical questions. Contribute to force design, scenarios, and execution to achieve objectives. Each wargame will have several workshops with approximately 50-200 people followed by a capstone execution biennially. Between each capstone wargame will comprise of smaller events to help refine the capstone wargames.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary point of contact for Blue (in-game Coalition) and Green (other allies/partners/host nation(s)) planning team(s).

Organizes and oversees Blue and Green facilitation team in support of game lead.

Creates, maintains, updates applicable documents and templates.

Facilitates wargame participation to achieve game objectives.

Conducts open source and classified research and analysis related to Air Force strategy and concept development, strategy implementation, and participation in defense strategy review.

Contributes to development and execution of wargame design, objective, and analysis plans.

Assists in data management and coordination of Blue and Green force structures and orders of battle, and their accurate representation in the appropriate game systems

Drafts wargame products to support Joint Planning.

Contributes domain or functional subject matter expertise to wargame planners and staff.

Contributes to data collection during wargame events.

Conducts post-game analysis and provides input to wargame reports.

Supports development and dissemination of post-game outcomes for senior leaders and stakeholders.

Participates in non-AF Wargaming wargames if directed.

Assists in accomplishing staff taskings/actions as directed.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

At least a Graduate degree and at least 14 years of experience in an Air Force operational unit (squadron or group level)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: bring Active security clearance, Top Secret/SCI eligible or higher.

At least 2 years above the Wing level (i.e. CCMD, MAJCOM, AOC, etc.).

2 years of experience in wargaming, concept development, operational planning, and/or strategic assessments.

Experience in and working knowledge of the Joint Planning process.

Ability to travel as needed.

Desired Skills:

Advanced Study Group or Weapons School graduate.

Knowledge of GameNet Wargame Information Environment (WIE).
