Wargaming Director
The DCS Air & Space Technology (AST) Sector is seeking a Wargaming Director to support HQ USAF at Joint Base Andrews or the national capital region. Our team is developing a title 10 wargame in support of HQ USAF/A5/7 to better refine TTPs, CONOPS and CONEMPS. Become part of a team to design and develop regular wargames to answer USAF A5 important analytical questions. Contribute to force design, scenarios, and execution to achieve objectives. Each wargame will have several workshops with approximately 50-200 people followed by a capstone execution biennially. Between each capstone wargame will comprise of smaller events to help refine the capstone wargames.
Essential Job Functions:
Directly supports the government game lead to organize and manage wargame development, planning, administration, and execution to achieve game objectives; recommends and implements management decisions.
Contributes to development and execution of wargame design, objectives, and analysis plans.
Contributes to wargame design implementation to include wargame administration, scenarios, force structures, order of battle, and manning.
Manages data collection during wargame events.
Manages post - game analysis and drafting of wargame reports.
Manages development of post - game outcomes for senior leaders and stakeholders.
Assists in accomplishing staff taskings/actions as appropriate.
Maintains currency in wargame design and execution methodologies.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a Graduate degree with a minimum of 16 years in an Air Force operational unit (squadron or group level).
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Active security clearance, Top Secret/SCI eligible or higher.
At least 4 years in in a Higher Headquarters organization (i.e. Combatant Command (CCMD), Major Command (MAJCOM), Air Operations Center, etc.).
At least 2 years' experience in wargaming, concept development, operational planning, and/or strategic assessments.
Ability to travel as needed.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of the Joint Planning process.
