Portfolio Physicist, Lead
The Opportunity :

We're looking for expertise in physics, machine learning, artifi cia l intelligence ( AI ) , and applied mathematics to help program managers run successful research programs ensuring the capability to meet the threats of the 21st century.
Our team of scientists provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance ( SETA ) support to programs that have the potential to provide our nation with an overwhelming intelligence advantage. That's why we need you, a physicist, who spe cia lizes in applied mathematics, hardware development, models and simulation, and device physics, to help us advise our clients' work with research partners that come from Academia, other research institutions, and private industry. You'll work hand in hand with the program manager to deliver technical support and expertise on new concepts bey ond the program but integral to the program's success. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have :
- Experience supporting the Intelligence Community or Defense communities
- Experience with edge hardware design, CAD, models and simulations tools, and electrical engineering
- Experience in government research and development projects
- Experience with time series analysis, machine learning methods, and research program evaluation, including development of multiple metrics and methods
- Experience with leadership and mentorship
- Ability to proactively and independently identify potential technical and programmatic risks
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
Nice If You Have :
- Experience with R or MATLAB preferred
- Doctorate degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics preferred
