IT Security Analyst (Remote; Canada)
The Select Group is seeking an IT security Analyst for our top Client in Canada. In this role, you will manage various network security solutions such as Firewalls, VPN, IPS, Content Filtering and-or NAC for our client's security's external customers (all markets). You will work directly with customers, meeting the needs of their growing network infrastructure while ensuring they have a safe and secure environment. This position will provide extensive experience with managing complex network solutions and ample opportunity to branch out in the cybersecurity industry. This candidate must be able to obtain a Canadian Government Secret Security Clearance.

IT Security Analyst qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Security engineer or Analyst including technical knowledge of engineering, computer and network security, security protocols
- Direct experience with managing Fortinet products like FortiAnalyzer, FortiGate, FortiMail, and FortiAuthenticator
- Strong troubleshooting skills and security delivery experience
- Advanced foundation in networking architecture and protocols based on the OSI model from layer 1 to 7
- Expertise in TCP/UDP/IP protocols, their function and design
- Canadian Government Secret Security Clearances or the ability to obtain
- Availability for evening, overnight and weekend work as required

- Certifications - Fortinet (NSE6,7,8), CISSP, SANS/GIAC, SABSA, Azure, AWS, GCP, network security vendor certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto Networks)
- Experience in network and application-level security testing/review
IT Security Analyst Responsibilities:
- Working as an extension of the customer's networking team, you will manage a suite of Fortinet security products within small, medium and-or large organizations
- Provide advice, guidance, and direction by developing repeatable work methods, standards for firewall solutions
- Participate in security incident triage, investigation and analyses; provide support for front-line analysts to understand and analyze network logs for suspicious and anomalous behavior
- Work hand in hand with managed service teams and SOC analysts to support a solid Customer Experience, for Managed Security Services projects
- Supporting and guiding junior security consultants through network and firewall troubleshooting
- Make timely and logical decisions by analyzing diverse information streams, evaluating options and formulating recommendations in order to resolve network challenges
