Our aerospace client is looking for a Test Engineer to develop LabVIEW and TestStand code to automate functional test systems in close coordination with the hardware design staff.
Location: San Diego, CA 92127 (On-site)
Position: Test Engineer
Pay Rate: $55.51/hr. - $97.89/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 9x80 A
Shift: 1st Shift (9AM - 4:30PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Will develop LabVIEW and TestStand code to automate functional test systems in close coordination with the hardware design staff.
-Will work closely with test engineers to develop, debug, and verify test software on schedule and that meets all requirements.
-In addition, one will have the opportunity and responsibility to support qualification testing, preparing of test procedures and reports, and supporting hardware production manufacturing.
-Will work closely with hardware/test engineers to develop, debug, and verify test software.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-US Citizenship is required.
-High School Diploma with 3 years working experience in automated test engineering environment.
-MUST HAVE LABVIEW EXPERIENCE
-Experience creating software architectures and frameworks in LabVIEW and TestStand.
-Architect and Develop Hardware Abstraction Layer.
-Experience with mixed Circuit design.
-Experience using FPGA/CPLD/Microcontroller
-Experience with hardware bring-up/troubleshooting.
-Develop LabVIEW and TestStand software applications for custom test stations to meet customer requirements.
-Create software architectures and frameworks.
-Architect and Develop Hardware Abstraction Layer.
-Automate test sequences.
-Control test instruments.
-Communicate with the device under test (DUT).
-Generate reports for test results data.
-Work with hardware test engineers to automate custom test stations.
-Debug, troubleshoot and verify test stations.
-Write technical documentation including specs, verification procedures and operating procedures.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-BSCS, BSEE or similar technical degree
-Preferer 5+ years’ experience.
-NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand certification a big plus (not a hard requirement).
-3+ years LabVIEW and TestStand work preferably on production test applications.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Python experience is a plus Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed circuit design.
-Experience using FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers.
-Experience with development and design of automated test equipment.
-Self-motivated and self-managing.
-Eager to learn new technologies and processes.
