Apogee's ideal Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering support to Systems Engineering Directorate/Office of Enterprise Analysis. This Systems Engineer will contribute to the
development and testing of multiple internal tools that are used to optimize operational performance and generate feedback critical to overall system improvement. If you live and breathe development and testing, then you'll love Apogee and this position!
What You'll Do
Analyze IC problems to design experimental missions that demonstrate hypothetical solutions
Performing analysis of product quality using MATLAB and Python, to include validation and verification of modeling and simulation methodology and results, in support of Systems Engineering Directorate/Office of Enterprise Analysis
Conducting analysis of space vehicle capabilities, including modeling and simulation of orbital configurations
Develop mission concepts in terms of hypotheses, experiments, goals, and objectives
Provide technical review and advisory support on feasibility, development, acquisition, and operation of innovative technologies for future architectures, systems, capabilities, and performance
Integrate across multiple projects to ensure balanced and unified USG customer portfolio organized around future objective enterprise architecture and strategic vision
Support continuous improvement of SEIT capability for USG customer advanced R&D enterprise
Required
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or 1 year with Masters
Proficiency with MATLAB and Python
Proficiency in validation and verification of modeling and simulation
Basic knowledge in the application of SEIT methods to satellite, launch, and ground systems
Basic knowledge of acquisition and source selection policies and processes of USG
High quality writing skills. Creative problem-solving and analytical skills
High work ethic to produce quality deliverables in a timely manner based on USG request
Quality communication skills supporting written reports, group discussion, and oral briefings
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and achieve consensus in an effective and timely manner
