This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.
This Cross Platform Technical Program Manager (TPM) will own the delivery and operational improvements on multiple AWS services for our customers in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments. In this role you will be responsible for driving execution and delivery at Amazon scale. Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams you will set clear goals, priorities, and make data-driven decisions to deliver results.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex, high-impact cross-functional solutions that span varying technologies and operations across organizations and regions. With a focus on expanding services across cloud regions and driving investments in automation you will be leading efforts to deliver for Amazon's largest and most demanding government customers As we rapidly scale to serve our customers, we need a cross functional TPM who can work across our organization and stakeholders driving both strategic and tactical vision.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities
You will work closely with AWS service teams, customers, and stakeholders in delivering a consistent customer experience across air-gapped cloud environments. You will collaborate with product teams to prioritize and manage the region rollout of services. You will work with stakeholders to develop measures of success, milestones, and schedules to deliver the right business outcomes. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints. You will drive large, complex technology products across multiple teams and organizations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience managing programs across hardware, software and platform focused functional disciplines
- Experience supporting US Federal Government contracts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
