Background

• Review of legacy systems and drawings to recommend and develop upgrades that enhance system efficiency and safety, in collaboration with government organizations
• Development of new and/or modification of existing control systems and instrumentation systems for U.S. navy ships
• Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of existing control systems to include electrical and mechanical interfaces
• Interpret system requirements and design control and sensor circuitry for control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's level degree in Electrical engineering or Computer science from an accredited college or university
• 2 years of professional experience in designing and working with software and/or PLC based control systems and instrumentation systems
• 2 years professional experience in reading and modifying electrical schematics and diagrams

Preferred

• 2 years' experience in the use and application of test equipment and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting of and setup of control systems and PLC based control system hardware and software (Rockwell/Allen Bradley)
• Knowledge in Linux systems
