Background

• Install, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and internet systems or network segments
• Monitor network availability and perform maintenance as needed
• Test website performance to ensure proper operation
• Assist in network modeling, planning, and hardware/software coordination
• Supervise support specialists and administer network security
• Maintain a library of system images for quick system builds, ensuring low classification levels
• Manage software licenses for accountability and adaptability
• Keep software versions and service packs updated
• Provide network administration per DoD regulations and coordinate with external offices
• Conduct weekly backups and interface with customers for compliance and IT support

Requirements

• BS degree
• Knowledgeable in virtualization, network and server background
• Knowledge in VMWare, Linux, MS Server, SQL, Patching and STIG'ing
• 5-9 years of experience
• Current IAT level II certification
• Experience supporting computer systems, networks and servers up to the TS/SCI level (JWICS)
• Experience installing configuring routers, switches, hub and ither network devices
• Be able to access and configure Cisco IOS
• Experience with other devices such as Juniper
• Must hace an active TS/SCI clearance
