Applications Developer - SME
Nightwing's Cloud DevOps Engineers help promote state-of-the-art IT solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and share lessons learned. This position will focus on creating and maintaining containers as well as enabling container deployments and implementations of serverless architectures within AWS. Additionally, we need our DevOps Engineer to be versatile and be enthusiastic to take on new problems. We believe that in addition to hiring great talent, a diversity of perspectives, ideas, and cultures leads to the creation of better products.
TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1
The candidate must have detailed experience with AWS and all of its resources (or least its main ones EC2, S3, cloud formation stacks and RDS), as well as very familiar with Cloud formation scripts to create and maintain AWS resources. The candidate must also have experience with programming in an any Programming language, preferably in Ruby, Python, javascipt, Groovy or NodeJS. The candidate must have experience with using the AWS CDK in any of its supported languages: Ruby, Python, Java, NodeJS, etc. Experience using Mesos-Marathon container orchestration is highly desired.
Java, C# experience would be nice, but it is not mandatory. However, this experience will be vital in helping the development teams utilize AWS correctly.
This person must be willing to help in all cases as well as be familiar with architectural best practices. He/She will have experience with Jenkins and building Jenkins Pipelines using Groovy, Python and bash shell scripts.
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 11.5 years' experience is typical to be considered a SME level. The engineer must have extensive experience working with this Customer.
