This role will drive AWS capabilities adoption to revolutionize intelligence operations, enhance decision superiority, and enable information advantage across all warfare domains.
Operating at the intersection of defense, national security, and cloud innovation, you'll work directly with DoD senior leadership to shape enterprise-wide modernization strategies. Your deep understanding of mission requirements and emerging technologies will be crucial in transforming how the USAF leverages cloud computing. You'll lead efforts to close critical capability gaps, advising senior agency leaders on the transition from legacy infrastructure to cloud-enabled mission capabilities.
Supported by AWS Sales Teams, Solutions Architects, service teams, and senior engineers, you'll develop strategies to accelerate the Air Force's cloud technology adoption and drive innovation. Your leadership will be essential in identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities while ensuring AWS's service portfolio evolves to meet emerging warfighting requirements. This position offers unique opportunities to influence national security capabilities and drive meaningful technological transformation, directly impacting the Air Force's ability to maintain information superiority in an increasingly complex global environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a key advisor and member of the leadership team for the Director, Air Force, Navy, and Combatant Command Sales team to drive overall AWS market and service enablement strategy.
• Drive strategic engagement with USAF senior leadership, including CIOs and PEOs, to shape enterprise-wide modernization strategies.
• Define and execute comprehensive market development strategies across the USAF, leveraging deep understanding of mission requirements and emerging technologies.
• Influence national security capabilities and drive meaningful technological transformation for the USAF.
• Lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of strategic opportunities and mission-critical programs
• Guide AWS service development to meet emerging DoD requirements
• Present strategic reviews to AWS senior management on market expansion and capability development
• Work directly with USAF senior leadership to shape enterprise-wide modernization strategies.
• Translate USAF mission requirements and business opportunities to AWS senior leaders, ensuring alignment between customer needs and AWS capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- Demonstrated experience in DoD technology leadership roles
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
- Experience developing detailed go to market plans
- Master's degree in technical field or business administration
- Experience managing $100M+ technology portfolios
- Business development or consulting background, experience working with National Defense and DoD industry customers at the CxO/VP level.
- Analytical and data-driven, and ability to demonstrate balanced strategy and planning, and execution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus
- Track record of leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Strong existing relationships across DoD senior leadership
- Deep background in intelligence operations, command and control systems, and cyber operations
- Extensive experience with classified programs and secure cloud computing
- Good understanding of legacy and emerging technologies in the National Security and Department of Defense industry.
