What You Will Do

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer candidate to join our world-class engineering team. The primary mission will be to support recoveries of non-standard conditions of our complex system which contains multi engineering disciplines. Daily activities will include investigation of events, preparation and improvements of response tools, and analysis of current conditions. The selected team member will learn and execute component related procedures. Occasional presentations and interactions would be expected.

Monitoring and logging of system conditions

Maintain good working relationships through direct interaction and collaboration with customers, peers, and associate contractors

Execution of subsystem related processes

Maintain awareness of operation status of subsystem hardware and supporting monitoring scripts

Qualifications You Must Have
  • An understanding of engineering tradeoffs
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

    Capability of utilizing analysis methods and tools to trouble shoot various events
  • Ability to learn and understand a wide application of technical theories and concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux and MS Office
  • The candidate must be able to work full-time from within our customer on-site facility.
  • Candidate MUST hold an active U.S. TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with scripting languages (TCL/TK, PERL)
  • Firm understanding of electronic systems, Electro-mechanical systems, RF, digital communications
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral settings on technical topics.
  • Ability to analyze control loops.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and multi-task in a complex work environment
  • Ability to learn in a self-directed setting while also optimizing chances to gain knowledge as they come.
  • Ability to take initiative while working in a multi-tasking dynamic environment under a mix of general and specific direction

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
