Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator to support an NSG program on-site in San Diego, CA. This position requires an active Top Secret or TS/SCI .

Responsibilities for the Linux System Administrator include:
Qualifications for the Linux System Administrator include:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
· Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring
· 5+ years of knowledge/experience of multiple specialties such as operating systems, storage technologies and peripherals, including working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems administration
· Experience integrating Linux with Windows Active Directory
· Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts
· Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS and LDAP
· Knowledge of the following technologies: Ansible modules and Trellix Anti-Virus
Preferred Qualifications for the Linux System Administrator:
· NetApp Cluster administration experience
· Experience with NetBackup administration or other backup technologies
· Experience with implementing Ansible modules and configuration management with Git
Compensation for the Linux System Administrator includes:
· Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000 *depending on experience*

Responsibilities for the Linux System Administrator include:
- Design, implement, and manage lab infrastructure to meet customer requirements, including Linux servers and NetApp Storage/hardware software.
- Build and manage authentication, file-share and collaboration servers: design and implement workgroup-scale networks
- Work with cyber security staff to apply hardening steps for classified systems according to IDC-503 security controls and other standards
- Document system configurations for new and existing systems: troubelshoot network technologies and perform fault analysis
- Maintain infrastructure technology, manage software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes: create and modify scripts for tasks
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance.
