Data Security Engineer
Key Role:
Support the development and maintenance of data infrastructure that supplies data in forms needed for business and operations analysis. Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Possess a foundational background in data engineering principles, including data pipeline development, database management, AI / ML development, and cloud technologies. Use a working knowledge of data security processes to ensure compliance, and safeguard sensitive information through best practices to support data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and information security frameworks.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Data Security Engineer

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a data engineering or database management role
- Knowledge of data security fundamentals, including encryption, authentication, and role-based access control
- Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
- TS / SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a CS, Data Engineering, or Information Systems field
- Security+ Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Micro sof t Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
- Experience with data warehousing using AWS Redshift, MySQL, or Snowflake
- Experience with Agile engineering practices
- CISSP, CISM, or CCSP Certification
