About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This role involves full lifecycle systems engineering, including requirements analysis, system architecture, design, testing, implementation, and sustainment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MBSE methodologies and tools, as well as experience in system decomposition and integration across enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform full lifecycle systems engineering, from requirements analysis to implementation and sustainment.
• Develop and execute system architectures for enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers.
• Align with infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and integration teams to ensure system efficiency.
• Support the development of As-Built Technical Baselines and digital engineering transformation initiatives.
• Analyze customer requirements and perform impact assessments to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate across the MDSEA environment and support tenants to deliver effective solutions.
• Develop and present briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Requirements
• Education & Experience:
• HS Diploma and 12 years of general experience OR
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR
• Master’s degree and 6 years of experience
• 7+ years of direct systems engineering experience
• 1+ year of experience in management or leadership roles
• Expertise in MBSE methodologies, SysML, virtual environments, and systems engineering tools
• Strong technical knowledge of Linux, Windows administration, storage management, and computer hardware
• Active DoD Secret security clearance (Must obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products
• MBSE expertise using SysML modeling tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody
• Experience in decomposition of complex IT systems into manageable components
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability

• Annual Salary: $116,600 - $141,600 (Based on experience and certifications)
