Summary
Serves as the Project Architect for the Algiers Chancery Facade Replacement project, supporting OBO/Algiers.
Provides architectural oversight, ensuring construction quality, technical compliance, and adherence to contract requirements.
Conducts inspections, monitors contractor performance, and ensures the project meets design and safety standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited US university
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience; Proven background in architectural design, construction oversight, and quality assurance for projects of similar scale.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, design narratives, and engineering calculation
Responsibilities
• Ensures contractor work aligns with design documents, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Reviews design drawings, shop drawings, and submittals for accuracy and coordination across disciplines.
• Interprets design documents and monitors contractor adherence to final design parameters.
• Conducts onsite inspections of architectural elements, ensuring proper installation and execution.
• Monitors the contractor’s quality assurance and safety programs to ensure compliance.
• Reviews materials and contractor submittals to verify they meet project specifications.
• Identifies and addresses non-compliance issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Tracks construction progress against the project schedule, submitting weekly progress reports.
• Documents construction activities, noting progress, issues, and proposed solutions.
• Evaluates contractor-proposed remedies to construction problems and provides recommendations to the Project Director/Construction Manager.
• Identifies coordination needs between architectural work and other disciplines.
• Resolves conflicts in design or construction and proposes solutions to keep the project on track.
• Supports the Project Director with additional tasks as needed to ensure project success.
