Position Description: MI Technical Solutions is seeking an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Technical Lead to join its team. In this role, the ACAS Tech Lead is responsible for training operators within the organization, operate and maintain the ACAS solution, and support network and application scanning as well as configuration assessments.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to customers involving a wide range of software, hardware, and DoD specific applications with respect to the ACAS solution.
Provide technical support to systems encountering network-related obstacles that may prevent a successful scan.
Ensure scheduled scans are covering 100% of IP space and are being run successfully with credentialed scans.
Ensure Security Center is being updated regularly (to include plugins, feed, and the client itself); address unsuccessful updates of the Security Center and identify the root cause of the unsuccessful update.
Configure, optimize, and test vulnerability scanners against new and existing Operating Systems and platforms.
Perform Nessus vulnerability scans, Nessus agent scans (managed by Security Center).
Perform scan policy analysis & configuration to determine the impact of vulnerability scanning against target devices.
Troubleshoot credential failure issues by performing configuration analysis against the target device.
Conduct vulnerability analysis, research, collaborate with System Administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and/or author Plans of Actions and Milestones (PO&AM) as needed.
Provide guidance on vulnerability and malware remediation.
Requirements:
DoD Secret Clearance
Must have current CompTIA Sec+
Experience with vulnerability scanning and management tools to include and understanding of Vulnerability Remediation Asset Management (VRAM) System, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), etc.
Experience with continuous monitoring operations and information assurance management.
Strong background with Linux distributions, especially RHEL is required.
Experience with Windows and Cisco iOS platforms highly preferred.
Experience with network design to include installing, operating, and maintaining routers, switches, domain controllers, member servers, clients, etc.
Strong background in troubleshooting. Experience in recreating client issues in a lab environment for troubleshooting purposes.
Familiarity with the OSI model and common ports and protocols (SSH, Telnet, DHCP, etc.)
Familiarity with DoD systems and technologies
Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills
