This Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Structures Equipment Specialist position supports the F-16 Morocco program. Travel will primarily be within CONUS, but there may be requirements to travel overseas and applicants should be U.S. passport holders.
Job Description:
Experience in aircraft structural maintenance/sustainment is required and maintenance/sustainment experience on the F-16 aircraft is desired.
- Supports as the technical content manager for structural systems and TOs assigned. Assists to establish the requirement for and prepare TCTOs and TOs for both field and depot level maintenance operations, repair inspection and testing of the complete weapon systems. Assists to perform verifications of technical data as a member of the technical verification team and pre/post publication review group to determine technical accuracy of data and proper sequence of the technical content.
- Supports program requirements to include: D043/D143C, IDTODS, FIN, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS), FSS, ETIMS, F-16 OCM, Haystack and other databases relating to the aircraft and its systems to help determine problem areas on assigned systems and items. Assists with recommending and developing executable programs to be considered for use in ensuring the operation and evaluation of assigned systems.
- Assists to accomplish studies, review and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment generated from a variety of sources including but not limited to DRs, AFTO Form 22s, MSTG/SSG, telephone calls, IDEAS and aircraft mishaps. Recommend appropriate corrective actions. When corrective actions are presented by using commands, contractors, and others, assists to evaluate for technical adequacy and economic feasibility. Assists to determine method of implementation (e.g. TCTO or TO change).
- Supports all aspects and levels of program IPTs to include but not limited to, engineering, program management, other equipment specialists, lead and chief engineers and civilian and military leadership within the F-16 Division/FB Directorate, other AFLCMC directorates, AFLCMC headquarters, AFRL, HQ AFMC, ACC, DoD, EPAFs, prime weapon system contractor and subcontractors, and other Government and private sector personnel.
- Supports various standing F-16 activities and organizations including, but not limited to, the F-16 Consolidated Board, F-16 JMCCT/B, and F-16 System Safety Groups including but not limited to the SSG, SSWG, and MSTG). Participates in formal and informal F-16 program reviews.
- Assists Government equipment specialists, integrators and engineers in conducting special research projects as assigned. Supports the USAF PM in all tasks related to this effort.
- Supports trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/technical data verification. Assists to report findings, kit issues, and corrective actions and make recommendations to the responsible engineer or PM.
- Supports feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure that systems, subsystems and equipment being developed are mutually compatible and serve to meet overall operational and technical requirements.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.

- OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
- OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD.
