Program Manager

Key Role:

Perform as a senior member on our elite team to lead our engineering efforts and build next-generation technologies for our defense clients. Serve as an integral member of a dynamic team responsible for developing, integrating, and testing digital solutions to create emerging technologies and products for the next-generation Warfighter. Work alongside leadership to ensure Soldier solutions are developed to increase business capability and value, reduce cost and risk, foster innovation, and maximize accountability and return on investment. Interact frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning Booz Allen client projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications. Advise organizational leadership on how to implement emerging technologies and work alongside leadership to ensure Soldier solutions are developed on a continuous basis to increase mission capability and value to our clients. Maintain responsibility for planning and managing programs in conjunction with the client to execute the development of a complex program from the design phase through implementation. Interpret identified configuration management and documentation requirements and convert to program deliverables. Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical functions within the program. Coordinate and document project schedules, assist with monitoring budget, and assign tasks in accordance with client requirements. Keep the client informed of key issues and changes that may impact expected project results.

Basic Qualifications:

• 30+ years of experience in technology development operations
• 5+ years of experience with program management for technology development programs within the defense industry
• Experience supporting technology development for Army-relevant missions and operations
• Knowledge of product development, from inception to fielding, through strategic planning and implementation of finances, materials, personnel, and other resources, including onboarding personnel
• Knowledge of analog and digital night vision design and theory with the development of multi-sensor network imaging
• Knowledge of Department of Defense budget management, organizational training, planning, and execution
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working with U.S. military program management offices, to include successful Soldier-centric development, acquisition, testing, and operational fielding of night vision sensors and mission command equipment
• Experience successfully leading business development and capture management
• Knowledge of industry-standard tools for the development and test and evaluation of night vision, sensors, and mission command capabilities
• Knowledge of military tactical operations

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
