Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute Navy Aircraft support equipment (SE) program/project objectives.
- Control all resources for a program (e.g., funding, types of contracts, team priorities, schedules, integrated program team [IPT] tasking) required for successful execution.
- Review and approve strategies for achieving short or long-range organizational program objectives.
- Prepare and present oral presentations on program requirements, guidance, and direction to all levels of government and industry management.
- Interpret administrative policies, guidelines, management theories, and practices to plan programmatic operations.
- Develop narrative reports and charts to communicate program direction or status.
- Coordinate with department directors and senior leaders on program matters addressing program status, present or anticipated requirements, resources, and impediments.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a business, management or technical discipline preferred and 10+ years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition, 3+ in support of Navy Acquisition management.
- Experience with aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
- Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
- Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
