Job Description

Ennoble First is seeking a Carbon Black Endpoint Security Engineer to provide advanced cybersecurity support for global real-time operational activities. This role requires critical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and strong communication abilities to effectively support security analysts, IT teams, and leadership. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining VMware Carbon Black solutions, optimizing security configurations, and enhancing threat detection capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customer security analysts and IT teams.
  • Develop, configure, and optimize Carbon Black Cloud, App Control, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Capture Client to improve threat prevention and response.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for Carbon Black configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure a coordinated approach to security challenges.
  • Evaluate and integrate new security technologies to enhance cybersecurity posture.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to team members on Carbon Black best practices.
  • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Carbon Black security tools.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in endpoint security, EDR, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • 2-5 years of experience implementing, managing, and maintaining VMware Carbon Black solutions (Carbon Black Cloud, App Control, EDR, Capture Client).
  • 2-5 years of experience leading migrations, deployments, and configurations of Carbon Black products across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and VMware Cloud.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret security logs, system logs, and other data.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with security analysts, IT teams, and leadership.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience, OR Associate's Degree and 5+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CND).
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M CSSP - Infrastructure Support (IS) Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND) prior to start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience installing and configuring COTS security products.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and Windows Desktop security.
  • Experience working as or with a Cyber Technology Officer (CTO).
  • Expertise in Authentication and Account Management (Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, TACACS).
  • Familiarity with virtualization tools such as VMWare, ESXi, or vCenter.
  • Experience managing and resolving security incidents via ticketing systems.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Possession of a CSSP - Infrastructure Support (IS) Certification (CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND).
