We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Mission Voice Communications at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) on Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. This role is part of FTI's range support services for ballistic and hypersonic test missions across DoD, NASA, and other agency ranges worldwide. Our team provides expertise in mission planning, network and systems engineering, telemetry, data and voice communications, logistics, and cybersecurity for missile testing. Our team configures and updates voice and data communications systems to support mission requirements. We also design, develop, and implement customized technical documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
Note that this role requires up to 25% travel across the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, the Pacific, and aboard MDA's test support vessels, the Pacific Collector and Pacific Tracker. Travel is mission-dependent and based on MDA's Test and Evaluation schedule.

For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($100,000.00 - $145,000.00). Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and upgrade of voice networks (T1, VOIP, SIP trunking, POTS) to include servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity to ensure high quality voice and data transmission.
- Provide technical support to other departments regarding voice networks.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers.
- Design, develop, and implement customized technical documents.
- Gather information about needs, objectives, functions, features, and requirements.
- Perform writing tasks for technical documents, such as user manuals, installation manuals, help documents, and tutorials.
- Knowledge and experience in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting end-to-end Voice circuits and equipment.
- Administer systems running Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Accomplish pre-mission communication checks and voice instrument configuration verification.
- Assist in design of new technical solutions, planning, procurement, and implementations.
- Perform equipment installs, configuration updates, and troubleshooting actions at remote sites.
- Train voice circuit users on how to use equipment, instruments, headsets, etc.
Education/Qualifications
Required:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess active Dept. of Defense Secret clearance.
- Valid Driver's License from any U.S. state.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related technical field and 5+ years of directly related experience.
- High School diploma and 9+ years directly related experience will also be considered.
- DoD Directive 8570.01 IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, etc.
- Demonstrated technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with MS Office and MS Visio.
- 3+ years of experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining communications systems.
- 2+ years of experience supporting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- 2+ years of experience performing network, Windows, and/or Linux administration in an enclave or enterprise environment.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. passport and support up to 25% mission travel.
Preferred:
- Current Computing Environment certificate for Window, Linux, or networking.
- Experience with network analysis tools such as SolarWinds and WhatsUp Gold.
- Experience with Compunetix.
- Customer support experience.
- Prior Help Desk or other direct user support service.
- Prior US Military service with field deployment experience.
- Familiarity with DoD test ranges.
- Effectively work in a team environment, make recommendations, and garner consensus to implement ideas.
- Current U.S. Passport
