Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Analyst / Information Security Manager
Location: Fairfax, VA and Client site as needed
Clearance Level: DOE Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance

Position Overview:
Plateau GRP is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst / Information Security Manager to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DOE). This role requires a proficient cybersecurity professional to lead and manage security measures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience in cybersecurity, a solid understanding of federal regulations, and proven leadership skills in overseeing cybersecurity teams and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive security measures to safeguard DOE information systems and data.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and testing of cybersecurity plans and controls using government-approved tools and methods.
  • Supervise and guide a team of cybersecurity professionals, ensuring timely completion of security initiatives and fostering a culture of security best practices.
  • Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats to DOE systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and revise key security documentation, including security policies and configuration management plans.
  • Conduct regular audits, assessments, and testing of security measures to ensure compliance with NIST 800-37, 800-53, CNSSI, and other federal security requirements.
  • Manage incident response and lead investigations in the event of a security breach or data compromise.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on security architecture, cloud security, and emerging cybersecurity trends to senior management and the DOE.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and develop strategies to address these challenges.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent certifications.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to protect information systems and data.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a cyber/IT security role, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in developing, monitoring, and conducting testing of cybersecurity plans and controls using government-approved tools and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity policies, including NIST 800-37, 800-53, CNSSI, and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience in developing and revising EHSS Security Policies (e.g., EHSS Privacy Plan, EHSS Configuration Management Plan).
  • Experience with vulnerability management, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and classified information in a secure manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DOE-specific security policies, systems, and architecture.
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other advanced security certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
