Location: Fairfax, VA
Plateau GRP is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Coordinator to join our growing Human Resources team. As an HR Coordinator, you will be a key player in ensuring smooth HR operations, including supporting recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, contributing to the success of HR initiatives.
- Serve as a go-to resource for employees by answering questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Accurately maintain employee records and documentation using Plateau's HRIS, Paylocity, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Lead and assist with new employee orientations, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience that aligns with company values and processes.
- Maintain and update all new hire paperwork and employment records in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure HR functions comply with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in various HR-related projects as needed, including recruitment, employee engagement, and training programs.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week at our office in Fairfax, VA.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources, with experience supporting federal contracting firms being a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
- Strong ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a government security clearance, if required.
- Experience working with Paylocity
- SHRM or other HR certification
