Cloud Developer – Subject Matter Expert – Billet #STAR 2243-01
Country Intelligence Group is seeking a Full-Time Cloud Developer (Subject Matter Expert) to support our client located in McLean, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing cloud-based computing solutions for large-scale data analytics and artificial intelligence applications. The role requires expertise in cloud and hybrid environments, integrating various tools, scripts, and microservices to automate, secure, and scale advanced AI workflows.
Job Description:
Work Requirements and Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to architect and document hybrid cloud solutions optimizing AI-driven workflows.
• Lead efforts to optimize cloud-based computing technologies, leveraging PySpark, distributed computing, and model training/inference, and integrate solutions into partner systems.
• Develop tools and scripts to monitor, troubleshoot, automate, and deploy AI models into existing business analytic platforms.
• Support analytic solutions by ensuring availability, latency, performance, efficiency, documentation, change management, security, and capacity planning.
• Apply, develop, and deploy cloud microservices and integrate cloud resources with on-premise high-performance computation servers.
• Design software pipelines to query, merge, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Utilize the Sponsor’s knowledge management, version control, coding standards, and delivery platforms.
• Manage requirements, builds, upgrades, and bug fixes across multiple environments (development, test, production).
• Assist developers and data scientists in CI/CD configuration and code deployment.
• Implement automation solutions for real-time data tipping and queuing.
• Optimize open-source software to accelerate mission solutions and minimize proprietary dependencies.
• Employ microservice-based architectures and agile development to enhance network reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop analytical software packages, pipelines, and custom virtual environments for secure deployment across various environments, including cloud, standalone workstations, and high-security networks.
Education, Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Terraform. (Required)
• Experience using Anaconda for development. (Required)
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline management, including tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence. (Required)
• Experience in automated testing and deployment of infrastructure/configurations.
• Hands-on experience in cloud administration, provisioning, and data science applications (AWS preferred). (Required)
• Deployment and tuning experience with Apache NiFi or other ETL workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL database management within cloud-based relational database services. (Required)
• Experience optimizing cloud-to-on-prem connectivity for high-performance computing. (Required)
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps solutions and tools. (Required)
• Expertise in cybersecurity principles, including governance, risk management, encryption, access control, network security, or security operations. (Required)
• Proven ability to prepare and present technical solutions to senior stakeholders. (Required)
• Experience supporting data scientists in model tuning, classification, prediction, and generative AI applications. (Preferred)
• Expertise in optimizing AI model deployment in cloud environments. (Preferred)
• Proficiency in front-end web development frameworks (e.g., Flask). (Preferred)
• Experience integrating Tableau with cloud services for real-time visualization. (Preferred)
