Description
The Systems Administrator will provide critical support for the MS&A team at the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) by maintaining and managing multiple networks and machines across various security levels, from unclassified to TS and SAP. This role involves ensuring system availability, security, and performance, as well as compliance with ATCs and ATOs.
Environment: The Systems Administrator will work on a military base supporting a military team. The role requires adherence to military security protocols and handling of classified information, including TS and SAP. The Systems Administrator must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be available for on-call support as needed.

The Systems Administrator will provide critical support for the MS&A team at the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) by maintaining and managing multiple networks and machines across various security levels, from unclassified to TS and SAP. This role involves ensuring system availability, security, and performance, as well as compliance with ATCs and ATOs.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and network devices
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across multiple security domains
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Ensuring compliance with ATCs and ATOs for all systems and networks
- Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Performing regular system updates, patches, and backups
- Assisting with disaster recovery planning and incident response
- Providing technical support to end-users and collaborate with other team members
- Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Staying updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices in systems administration

Requirements
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on military or government environments
- Strong understanding of network administration, including unclassified, TS, and SAP networks
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting multiple networks and machines across various security levels
- Familiarity with ATCs (Authority to Connect) and ATOs (Authority to Operate)
- Proficient in Windows Server, Linux, and macOS administration
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Desired Skills
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
- Knowledge of firewalls, routers, and switches
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with incident response and disaster recovery planning
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with military-specific systems and technologies
