Truestone, and Akima company, is looking for a Production Control Clerk to work in Tobyhanna, PA. This is a first shift position, but may be required to work all shifts (if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Searches computer lists and manual records to determine Job order status relative to production schedules and completions, funds authorized, and costs incurred, man-hours available and expended, and asset availability.
  • Computes variances outside of cost tolerances, coordinates with responsible production controllers to determine reasons for costs outside of tolerances and corrective action to be taken.
  • Prepares Job order status reports to alert production control personnel. In coordination with production controllers, compiles schedule and production data on all programs.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies.
  • Reviews daily computer listings concerning production activities, looking for reject entries.
  • Determines source of error and the correction to be made; notifies the appropriate office to submit the corrected information.
  • Provides information and assistance on data to be recorded and the proper manner for reporting the data.
  • Assists others by compiling and analyzing production and cost data on special projects.
  • Gathers information relative to program costs, shop completions, man-hour usage, estimated future fund requirements and other pertinent information for preparing charts, graphs, and statistical data for production reviews and recurring reports, etc.
  • Computes percentages, totals, remainders, etc. for various production, travel, or man- hour statistics.
  • Replies to inquiries from the Comptroller on the financial status of specific job orders. Prepares reports on inactive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Queries the computer for data.
  • Contacts production controllers to determine reasons for inactivity.
  • Responsible for the collection, review, typing, reproduction, and distribution of reports to customers.
  • Checks narrative material submitted for correct punctuation, spelling, grammar, etc.
  • Verifies statistical data by comparing with computer listings; checks for completed projects, new WBS', etc.
  • Computes metrics, monitors and reports deviations.
  • The work is primarily sedentary with some carrying of computer listings, not requiring unusual physical demands. The work is usually performed in an office setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen with able to obtain a Public Trust background check.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good MVA record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test prior to start.
  • Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Must be computer literate and able to function with basic MS Office applications, SAP programs, research, data input, etc.
  • Must be able to verify statistical data.
  • Experience working with computing metrics, monitors and reports deviations.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry equipment that weighs from 10 to 40 pounds.
  • May be required to wear protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear-plugs, and etc.
  • Must be willing to travel if needed (up to 25%).
  • Must be able to work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require him to standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
