Description
The DarkStar Group is seeking a Software Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Fairfax, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.
THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
As part of Sponsor's integrated ServiceNow delivery team, the Contractor Team shall provide development and process improvement support of Sponsor's Global Infrastructure Business System (GIBS) custom application suite and other Sponsor requirements on the enterprise and non-enterprise ServiceNow platforms. Contractor Team shall provide product/project management support to ensure Sponsor's transparent oversight of its overall ServiceNow effort. Contractor team shall provide business process analysis and requirement support to ensure optimal use of ServiceNow with reduced waste and improved user satisfaction. Due to platform's governance structure, success in this engagement requires the Contract Team develop and maintain rapport and positive collaboration with other platform product owners and Sponsor's internal stakeholders.
THE ROLE
The Software Developer provides development and programming support that ensures Sponsor's business needs are developed and deployed in the Sponsor's enterprise ServiceNow platform. Designs and customizes ServiceNow for Sponsor use consistent with platform governance and in a manner that optimizes efficiency and user experience. This includes collaborating with other platform development teams as needed. Includes automated testing of new capabilities with regression against existing capabilities.

Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience using web development technologies, specifically JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Demonstrated experience developing ServiceNow, or advanced experience with software development or experience with low-code development platforms and the aptitude to develop ServiceNow experience.
- Demonstrated experience in business process analysis including evaluating customer need, internal processes, document business process models, and translating these models as functional technical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in systems evaluation such as identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement such as analyzing functions, requirements, or existing capabilities and shortfalls.
- Demonstrated experience with program management and project task management, and customer relations and outreach.
- Demonstrated experience with IT and systems lifecycle management, including managing review boards, and change & release management.
- Demonstrated experience with knowledge management, including developing feature release descriptions, and technical artifacts related to development under this request.
Desired Skills (Optional)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, or completion of requisite ServiceNow training for the certification.
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow application suites (e.g. IT Service Management, IT Business Management), developing Dashboards on ServiceNow, and using ServiceNow Performance Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience using ServiceNow project management applications.
- Demonstrated experience working with Sponsor's IT service providers.
- Demonstrated experience advising Sponsor personnel on processes, practices and policies that directly impact the organization.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud architecture, including expertise beyond Sponsor's legacy cloud environments.
