Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Software Engineer:
- Develop and maintain software applications using Java/J2EE
- Implement coding standards, automated testing, and automated build pipelines
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in the team
- Use common software development and management tools such as Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse
- Work on server-side/database development and computer system administration
- Solve complex problems, identify root causes, and design and implement solutions
- Work in an agile development environment and understand standard system engineering design artifacts
Required Skills for Software Engineer:
- Strong experience in Java/J2EE and software development
- Knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, and configuration management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- Experience with common software development and management tools
- Understanding of agile development methodologies
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred
- IAT Level II certification required
- 7+ years experience with an advanced degree, 9+ years experience with a Bachelor Degree
- Active SECRET Clearance Required
