Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale technology changes and IT projects, including AWS Cloud Migration. The ideal candidate will manage all project phases, from planning and execution to design, implementation, and testing, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, developers, and leadership teams, leveraging project management tools to monitor and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and track progress.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Plan, execute, and oversee technology projects from initiation to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Track project progress, adjust plans as necessary, and report on milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project) to manage work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies.
Conduct status meetings, produce status reports, and resolve conflicts or risks.
Ensure all changes adhere to governance, compliance, and security standards.
Facilitate change collision deconflicting and ensure minimal disruption during changes or events.
Create presentations and reports for senior management, summarizing project status and performance.
Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

8+ years of project management experience, with at least 7 years in managing IT projects.
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and DevOps methodologies.
Proficient with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Project.
Technical experience with AWS Cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, ECS) and associated tools.
Experience with AWS Console, Gitlab, Terraform, and knowledge of microservices, APIs, and databases.
Familiarity with compliance, security standards, and data governance practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels, from developers to senior leadership.
PMI/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is a plus.

Desired Skillset

Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 7+ years of project management experience.
Experience in managing large-scale, complex projects with minimal disruption.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or relevant field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000.0 - $165,300.00
