Job Description:
Provide network engineer advisory and assistance services support to USSTRATCOM J61 Architecture and Engineering Division. This is a Mon - Fri, 8 - 5 role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain Enterprise network infrastructure solutions
• Utilize modern hardware and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies
• Implement automation for deployment and sustainment using advanced monitoring and metric-based approaches
• Manage IP Address Management (IPAM), load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, taps, and related networking technologies
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and network security standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer (SE)
• Experience must include Requirements Tradeoff, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Systems Engineering Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, Technical Audits
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience or documented training in designing, deploying, and maintaining systems and capabilities
• Must be able to obtain certification meeting 8140 series requirements within 6-months of notification
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills including developing and presenting complex written products and oral briefings to senior leaders at the O-6/GS-15 level or higher
• Senior-level specialized knowledge, skillset, and experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure solutions and utilizing modern hardware and software-defined networking components and solutions
• Proficiency with current automation technologies and techniques for deployment and sustainment
• Proficiency with IP Address Management (IPAM), load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and network taps
• Must possess an active intermediate or higher technical certification such as; Cisco Certified Network Associated (CCNA), Juniper Junos Associate, or equivalent
