Chenega Worldwide Support (CWS) is a premier provider of Architecture and Engineering support services to federal customers around the world. Founded in 2016 to support federal operations OCONUS, CWS holds true to its mission that no matter the location, we are there to get the job done.

The Data Warehouse Specialist II will provide on-site library maintenance services to the Imagery Division of the National Geospatial Agency. The Data Warehouse Specialist II will organize, manipulate, and maintain storage of historical film as well as provide foundational informational technology support to the library system.

Responsibilities

  • Generate bar codes for each can of film located in the library
  • Input information about film cans and associated bar codes into local databases
  • Validate film availability for incoming work requests
  • Clean film using appropriate equipment prior to releasing it to scanning operators
  • Inspect film for rips or tears
  • Perform minor repairs to the film
  • Report metrics in accordance with ST requirements
  • Update information in HIDS and monitor all HIDS websites for new requests
  • Track film (checking film cans in/out of the library)
  • Retrieve film to satisfy user orders
  • Pack, unpack, shelve, and inventory the film following all security policies
  • Provide customer service for associated film library support functions
  • Query databases for film records
  • Order film from internal and external partners to satisfy user digitization requests
  • De-spool film for final disposition, sanitize reels, and film cans when required
  • Perform general housekeeping of film library areas and equipment, including vacuuming and sweeping around work areas, and dusting and cleaning film cans prior to distribution to operators
  • Remove debris and trash from a film library
  • Redact original negative and/or duplicate film in support of NGA's declassification projects and splice in spacer film indicating an image has been excised
  • Retire and accession film appropriately and in accordance with agency and National Archives records management policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
    • Associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in document and or warehouse management
  • Current TS clearance required
    • Ability to obtain SCI with CI Poly (will be obtained during the hiring process)
      • Final TS/SCI with CI Poly required to start.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and experience with safety equipment is mandatory
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of computer hierarchy file structures
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Ability to troubleshoot, report, and resolve basic software and hardware issues (i.e., keyboards, printer, monitor, error logs, diverse operation systems, etc.)
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision and willingness to learn and assimilate on-the-job training
  • Ability to operate manual and powered pallet jacks/forklifts and a self-propelled work platform (Wave Work Assist Vehicle) for film retrieval
  • Ability to work at an elevated height, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
