IT SOX Manager - Hybrid (Raleigh, NC)
The Select Group is seeking a skilled IT SOX Manager to join the team at one of our clients in the Raleigh, NC area. The organization is focused on enhancing its SOX controls framework, specifically ITAC. Management does not currently have a testing framework, and control definitions remain immature. This year, they aim to design and implement a customized testing program, leveraging existing control wordings obtained from finance. The effort involves finance, technology controls, and external auditors, with strong support from the IT auditor organization. The Manager will be responsible for designing and writing the testing programs in plan. In addition, they will conduct the walkthroughs with cross functional teams. This individual must be willing to grow within the organization and have a passion for managing others.
This person will be expected to go onsite in Raleigh, NC 3 days per week

Requirements:
- 5+ years of SOX ITAC/ITGC experience in large publicly traded organization and/or public accounting.
- Large emphasis on ITAC over ITGC
- Understanding of and experience with risk management relevant fields and frameworks, including SOX, COSO, and COBIT
- Must have experience with designing assessments and operating effectiveness of assessment of IT automated process controls, IT dependent manual controls, and interface controls.
- Must be able to share an example of designing and writing a test plan
- Must have previous lead or management experience and have conducted walkthroughs with cross functional teams

Day to day Responsibilities:
- CISA, CIA or CPA/Chartered Accountant preferred
- Lead the design and implementation of management's internal testing program for SOX IT application controls (ITACs)
- Create comprehensive test plans for individual ITACs
- Review process documentation and lead walkthroughs of key ITAC processes and controls
- Develop and maintain comprehensive walkthrough documentation
- Review ITAC testing workpapers to validate ITACs are appropriately implemented and operating effectively
- Perform day-to-day testing activities of ITACs as required
- Monitor controls for compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Work closely with internal finance teams, IT teams, business, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that application controls are designed effectively and meet organizational needs.
- Review and coordinate external auditor PBC requests for ITACs
- Provide training and support to stakeholders and junior staff on IT application controls best practices
- Present on the status of IT application controls and provide recommendations for improvement and feedback to stakeholders
