Job Summary:

Provides detailed scientific, and technology services to support the AFTAC Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS) program under the AFTAC Mission Services (AMS II) contract. Interacts and coordinates with both national-level agencies in support of national nonproliferation objectives. Supports the acquisition of information which results in the direct organizational participation in high-level, multi-agency conferences, working groups and technical review panels to resolve deficiencies in national capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide simulation and modeling support to include algorithm development and application execution.
  • Support EMS mission report generation through data mining and data fusion methodologies from diverse data sources.
  • Prepare, administer and populate tools, documents, and briefings to ensure effective collaborations to meet EMS customer requirements.
  • Support acquisition, implementation and enterprise integration of data processing systems and applications.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are met on time and in accordance with the prescribed standards.
  • Develop & maintain standard office procedures, files, activity reports & finance records for both governmental reporting and corporate record keeping.
  • Apply knowledge of established guidelines and interagency roles and responsibilities to support planning by appropriate national-level agencies.
  • Provide timely feedback on effectiveness and alternatives to agencies.
  • Perform contract program support assisting the EMS division chief, project officers, and regional analysts in the management of on-going efforts.
  • Conduct tasks relevant to providing expedient and accurate summary data analysis or evaluations, assist with managing and maintaining XML, XHML, HTML data sourcing, tagging, and conversion for use in MDES and AFMACC.
  • Provide paper to electronic data conversion using the large format scanner, digitizing and registering applications (e.g., convert paper maps to georeferenced files for use on Geographical Information System (GIS).
  • Extract report evaluation results to provide MDES report determination (functional MDES requirement).
  • Manage, monitor, or assist with task lists, distribution lists, report formatting, report format conversion (PDF) and application records management.
  • Prepare historical briefings and reports, as directed, on the collection support function to the other product areas within the division.
  • Participate in technical reviews and assessment of new material technologies proposed by government, commercial and academic institutions to determine applicability to customer programs.
  • Some travel may be required as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
  • MS or PhD degree and five (5) or more years of relevant experience Or BS degree and ten (10) years or more years of relevant experience.
  • Works well independently or as part of a group.
  • Ability to research technical issues.
  • Ability to identify problems, communicate them to supervisor, and propose solutions.
  • Ability to manage time & resources.
  • Ability to write reports to present to management.
  • Ability to delegate implementation plans to subordinate members of group.
  • Contact with the customer/provide customer support (internal or external customer).

  • Successful background and drug screening check.
