ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Principal Field Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.

ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. AFSS is seeking a Principal Field Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.
Key Role:
- Acts as the engineering representative with overarching responsibility for implementation and optimization of hardware and/or software products in a multi-vendor integration lab.
- Oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configurations and new system initiatives.
- Installation of software maintenance releases or hardware upgrades including the oversight of the installation process and test procedures to diagnose and resolve product performance problems at installation.
- Provides feedback and customer support regarding product performance problems and suggested solutions which may require product exchanges or more complex problem solving.
- May oversee a team of engineering technicians and system administrators.
Required Qualifications:
- Typical education and experience: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- DoD Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical writing skills for generating analysis and reports
- Experience with developing, modifying, maintaining a mission system integration lab environment.
- Familiarity or experience with Test Lab procedures
