About this Position:
NexTech Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team, supporting critical missions within the defense and security sectors. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation of computer systems, network infrastructure, and specialized equipment for our clients. This position involves providing exceptional technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining essential IT serves for various systems and devices.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to computer users inquiries and assist in resolving IT problems.
- Diagnose computer hardware and software issues.
- Respond to telephone calls and utilize the automated service desk to assist customers with computer/software problems.
- Receive, log, route, resolve, and conduct follow-up reporting on trouble calls and help desk tickets.
- Provide technical guidance on the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software.
- Provide technical hardware assistance on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points/controller and other specialized computer equipment.
- Lead and/or assist in the implementation of patches/upgrades for systems across the enterprise, ensuring the IT baseline infrastructure is consistently optimized, facilitating uninterrupted business processes in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA), and stakeholder missions.
- Create and maintain vital IT-related documents, including system configurations, network diagrams, and security policies.
- Utilize logging and discrepancy reporting tools for effective anomaly tracking, data mining, and historical reference.
- Manage local user access controls and permissions for IT resources, both on cloud services and on-premises systems, upholding the integrity of sensitive data.
- Operate enterprise management software and concepts, including but not limited to, Microsoft Intune, NinjaOne, Arista Wireless Controller, pfSense, Azure Active Directory, and other specialized device management systems.
