Senior Software Engineer Principal

Description

SAIC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer Principal with a high-level of experience in developing innovative solutions that will be used to support the customer's requirements in supporting US Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capability development. This position is located in the Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA area and requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.

Job responsibilities include:

• Manages the design, development, documentation, testing and debugging regarding application software.
• Responsible for the analysis and collaboration with customer leadership and subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
• End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience in Software Engineering; or Masters and twelve (12) years of experience in Software engineering; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:

• Must have very high-level development experience in Core Java and Java Swing, C#, or Python.
• Must have very high-level SQL database development experience.
• Must be able to understand current software, collaborate on code developed by other developers, and help organization meet Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) objectives.
• Must be able to mentor SW department and advice customer on best paths to accomplish their goals.

Required Clearance:

• Must have an active SECRET security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance post hire.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
