Position Overview

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Commodity Manager in San Diego, California. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist with logistics and inventory management
  • Assist with higher-level policy and doctrine as it relates to life cycle sustainment for all air, diving, maritime survival, and related equipment
  • Develop and analyze data to determine logistics goals and objectives, identify support requirements and budget issues, and conduct trade-off analyses
  • Prepare various plans, processes, reports, and other documentation
  • Assist with preparing funding plans and budgets
  • Monitor the spend plan relative to contracts and delivery orders
  • Assist with managing equipment life cycle operations and inventory management using Accountable Property System of Record software, property book records, and maintenance management programs
  • Provide input to the Defense Readiness Reporting System
  • Provide and monitor input to property book accountability for Plant Property and Equipment requirements using Automatic Information Technology management systems for inventory, authorization documents, and asset management
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements, including product support management; design interface; sustaining engineering; supply support; maintenance planning and management; packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; technical data; supporting equipment; training support; manpower and personnel; facilities and infrastructure support; and computer resource logistical support
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Three years of experience providing integrated logistics support within the N4 or N8 departments
  • Five years of collective experience working in Provisioning, 3M Maintenance, Sustainment Planning, Configuration Data Management, Engineering Change Proposals, Contracts, and Disposal
  • Five years of experience authoring, reviewing, and adjudicating logistics-related documentation
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Ability to operate a personal computer with common/standard business software programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented and accurate in performing all functions
  • Ability to perform all duties independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to write correspondence in military format when necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent CONUS and OCONUS as required
  • Ability to maintain a professional bearing and communicate with military and civilian personnel
  • Telework as appliable at the discretion of the organization
