Cloudshape is currently seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will support different agencies within the federal government. As part of Cloudshape's Solutions Engineering Team this person will work in-house or be assigned to project management teams working with outside clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Arranging scheduled upgrades
Investigating faults in the network
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Reporting network status to key stakeholders
Develop analyses of alternatives, develop implementation and cutover plans, finalize the implementation approach, oversee the migration, and conduct testing for all infrastructure devices that will be part of the administrative domain, all network infrastructure existing access, distribution, and core layer switches.
Basic Qualifications:
An Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance is required
A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
6+ years of relevant experience
Excellent Customer Service skills
Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities
