Technical Writer
Location: Austin, TX
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to explain highly technical data and information in simple, grade school language for end users of complex IT systems and projects. This role requires proficiency in using various word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and scheduling tools, as well as the ability to gather and convert data into a clear and concise written narrative.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Responsibilities:
• Simplify complex technical data and information for non-technical end users.
• Utilize a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools to create documentation.
• Gather and convert technical data into comprehensive written narratives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of information.
• Develop user manuals, guides, and other documentation to support IT systems and projects.
• Ensure all documentation meets company standards and user requirements.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in federal contracts and assistance.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital transformation.
• Background in IT software applications and database management.
Education and Experience:
• Associate's Degree or completion of a 2-year technical school program in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
