Principal Developer
Location: Austin, TX
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating software development plans and strategies, implementing algorithms, and designing databases. This role involves overseeing the work of developers, conducting quality control, and mitigating risks in the software development process.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement software development plans and strategies.
• Design and implement algorithms for various applications.
• Lead database design and management.
• Oversee the work of developers to ensure high-quality output.
• Conduct quality control and ensure adherence to software development standards.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the software development process.
• Devise solutions to anticipated problems and evaluate alternative options.
• Collaborate with project-specific teams to write specific sections of programs.
• Integrate program elements and test them to ensure functionality.
• Conduct testing of sample data sets to validate program outputs.
Required Skills:
• Strong experience in algorithm development and database design.
• Experience identifying and mitigating risks in the software development process
• Testing experience
• Proven track record of overseeing software development projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with federal contracts and assistance.
• Background in Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern data architecture best practices.
Education and Experience:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
• 15 years of relevant experience in software development.
